Blue hat by Isabelle Recanati. Isabelle Recanati, the founder and designer of "Imaga Hats" and "Isabelle Recanati Hats", studied art at the University of Witwatersrand in her native South Africa. She subsequently acquired extensive experience in fashion design while working in her family's clothes manufacturing business. Isabelle continued to work in design and manufacturing after emigrating to Israel in the 1970's. Isabelle met her Italian born husband Edoardo in Jerusalem, and together they embarked on a new joint project designing and selling hats when the millinery market in Israel was still in its infancy. Named for their three children, Imaga hats grew from its local Israeli market and is now an internationally recognized label. In 2001, Isabelle introduced the Isabelle Recanati line. This elegant collection has been well received and complements the already successful Imaga collection.
