Completion of the Second Temple
The dedication of the second Holy Temple (Bet Ha Mikdash) on the site of the 1st Temple in Jerusalem, was
celebrated on the 3rd of Adar of the year 3412 from creation (349 BCE), acknowledged this year on March 9, 2011, after four years of work, as recorded in the biblical Book of Ezra (6:15). The Second Temple would stand for 420 years, before being destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE.
